Coaches:
The Finnish Shooting Sport Federation (SAL) is one of the oldest and most successful sports associations in our country. It was founded in 1919. The Shooting Sports Federation includes about 300 member clubs, where about 30,000 people practice shooting sports.
Finnish Shooting Sport Federation is now opening for applications the positions of the coaches:
- Trap: Head coach
- Skeet: Head coach
In addition to coaching the national teams, all coaches work in the planning and implementation of the shooting sports federations coach training. The duties also include planning and co-ordinating the coaching of young athletes together with other coaches.
We require candidates to have excellent skills in theory of the sports, coach education, proven coaching skills, and the ability to work in international contexts in English. Success in all positions requires excellent communication skills and cooperation, sufficient IT skills, ability to withstand pressure and a desire to develop one’s own coaching skills.
The positions are temporary and start on 1 December 2024. The contracts are for 2+2 years.
Head coach:
The duties of the head coach consist of developing the coaching system, the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of national team coaching, as well as national and international competitions. The coach also participates in coach education. The coach is responsible for supporting, planning, monitoring and developing the daily training of the national team together with the athletes and their personal coaches. He/he also has to be able to act as team and travel leader in international venue’s.
